Facility Setup

Facilities represent the address locations associated with your teams (i.e., site location). Every team created will have a corresponding facility. There can be more than one facility associated to a team; however, the standard setup of the system typically has a single facility setup per team. When users log into the system, they will log into a facility. Access to view units for all locations are based on the team association for the user; however, they will only be able to complete transactions for the units currently located in the facility they are logged into.

When creating a new team, the corresponding facility will be created at the same time. Access the ability view, edit, or add additional facilities under the Locations section on the left menu. Select Facility.

Add New Facility

To add a new facility, under Locations on the left menu, select Facility. The facility grid view will be displayed. Select [Add New].

  1. Team. Select the team to associate with the facility. Teams
  2. Template. Select the facility template. Templates
  3. Facility ID. Enter a Facility ID. Entry must be a unique value.
  4. Facility Name. The facility name will typically be the organization name and is used for shipping documents and functions.
  5. Facility Address Details. These are optional; however, required if shipping for transfers between locations.

Enter any additional facility attributes that have been setup from the corresponding template.

External Record ID is available to enter. This field is typically used for a cross-reference to another system and potential integration logic. However, it can also be used for a general information cross-reference.

Once you have a facility added, at least one area must be set up for the facility to be able to add units to that location.

Edit Facility

From the left menu under Locations, select Facility. Find the facility to edit on the grid view. From the more options on the left, select Edit.

The Team and Facility ID cannot be changed. Edits can be completed for:

  • Facility Name
  • Facility Address
  • External Record ID
  • Facility Attributes (if any)
