New Authorization Service

We migrated to a new authentication service for logging into PanatrackerST. This migration will not impact your normal usage of the software, with the following two exceptions:

  • The login screen for PanatrackerST has been visually and functionally updated.
  • When this release goes live, invitation emails will be sent to all existing System User accounts so that accounts can be setup on the new authentication
    • This email will include a temporary password and a link to configure your new account. After navigating to the login screen using the provided link and logging in using your email and the provided temporary password, you will be able to change your password to whatever you like; you will only have to go through this process for the first time you log in.

User Interface Updates

  • Updates to the left menu on portal to group ‘like’ transactions together. This is phase 1 to support enabling of modules.
    • Adds/Receiving (Receive New Unit, PO Receiving, Create Unit, Create Container)
    • Moves/Transfers (Move Unit, Transfer Custody, Transfer Site Location, Project Transfer, Receive Transfer, Transfer Ownership)
    • Unit Management (Update Unit, Allocate to Project, Usage, Build Unit, Reclassify Unit, Replace Handle ID)
    • Check Out Management (Unit Reservations grid, Reserved Units, Checked Out Units, Check Out Transaction, Check In Transaction)
    • Maintenance (Maintenance Plan, Unit Maintenance Transaction)
    • Shipping (Pending Shipments, Build Container, Build Shipment, Shipping)
    • Package Tracking (Packages, Package Receipt, Package Pickup)
  • Unit Look Up by Item Code improvements.
  • Corrections to grid view column names.
  • Ability to set users to inactive and added a tab view for inactive status users.
  • Added a flag on the primary unit grid view to quickly change display to units with status of available and based on current custody. This is to replace the separate my available units grid view.
  • Add the ability to change a user to a different user type (community to system for example).
  • Updated tabbing on the portal transactions to remove tabbing through on-the-fly buttons.
  • General navigation improvements for portal transactions.
  • Additional validation logic added throughout for portal transactions.
  • Improved setup for favorites on mobile.
  • Added access to review the item template type (quantity or serial tracked) and access to view the template rules for all templates without the need to open each template.
  • Added additional setup under Organization to define additional attributes to make available to display on the grid views. To review and complete the setup, go to the Organization page accessed from the settings on the top menu bar.

Maintenance Functionality

  • Added a link from the Maintenance Grid View to the Maintenance transaction.
  • Allow maintenance to be completed to units in units with check out status of Checked Out and Out of Service.

Check Out – Check In Updates

  • Added a link from the Check Outed Unit Grid View to Check In transaction.
  • Added a link from the Reserved for Check Out grid view to the Check Out transaction.
  • Notification messages added on Check In when unit is overdue or coming due for maintenance.
  • Warning message added to Check Out when the unit selected is overdue or coming due for maintenance.
  • Added setting to support enabling the status assignment at Check In.

Usage Transaction Updates

  • Added the ability to view all items issued during the current active session.
  • Usage transaction attributes can be defined under Transaction Setup.

New Functionality

Replace Handle Transaction

A new transaction has been added to support replacing the Handle ID for a serial tracked unit in the system. Based on customer feedback, barcode tags that represent the handle can become detached; therefore, requiring a new ID to be assigned. The old ID is associated with the new to retain historical data for the unit. The transaction supports the ability to filter to find and select the unit based on item template, item master, and then unit attributes.

Reclassify Unit Transaction

A new administrative transaction to re-assign an item master on an existing unit. Identified that an item master may have been assigned incorrectly or in the case multiple item masters have been setup to represent the same thing. This allows transitioning the existing units to the correct item master. This is only available to completed against serial-tracked items.

Fleet Management – Vehicle Setup

Infrastructure has been added to support the ability to assign a vehicle as the location of items without the need to set up the vehicle as a facility with associated areas. To match other setup infrastructure, vehicle template setup. This supports the ability to assign additional attributes and assign rules such as flagging the vehicle to complete maintenance for. Vehicles setup supports treating the vehicle as both a container and a unit.

Vehicles can then be created and assigned a user under Fleet Management. Assignment can be either a system or community use.

Vehicle Template setup is located under the system settings accessed from the settings icon on the top menu.

Fleet Management setup is located under the Settings section from the left menu.

Project Transfer Transaction

Supports the ability to transfer item units from one project to another project. The unit can be available or checked out. It does not support changing the person the unit is checked out to.
