New Features & Transactions

Retire Unit Transaction

Added a new Retire Unit Transaction to support the ability to set a retire date on serialized units tracked in the system. The option is to keep the unit as available to continue tracking the unit or to mark it as disposed. Retired units still being tracked can also be selected to update as disposed. A grid view was added to review retired and disposed units. This feature included:

  • New grid view to view Retired Units.
  • New transactions on both mobile and portal to complete the Retire/Disposal assignment.

Place In Service Transaction and Logic

Added a new setting for serial-tracked units to enable tracking when the unit is placed in service independent to received. For items associated with the rule enabled, when units are received or created, the status of the unit will be set to RECEIVED instead of AVAILABLE. Moves, transfers, and other transactions can still be completed for these units with the exception of check out functions. A new Place In Service transaction has been added. This will update units with the status of Received to the status of Available and assign the date the unit was Placed In Service. A new grid view supports review of pending units that have not been placed in service. This feature included:

Item Count Transaction

This transaction supports the count of an AREA and QUANTITY-TRACKED ITEM. The variance will either decrease or increase the quantity for that item and area. The transaction is currently only available on the mobile app.

Item Restock Transaction

  • Added the ability to set up restock levels for items for AREAS.
  • Added the By Area view for units below stock assignments to the Below Stock Grid View.
  • On mobile, added a Restock Transaction. All items that are below the stock level by area will be available to select. Inventory can then be moved from overstock areas to replenish the stock areas that have defined stock levels. The transaction is a move (not a transfer). Inventory is expected to move within the same facility.

Roadmap Features

New Feature: Assignment of ‘In Use’ status. This will be an alternate to Checked Out to support stationary items (such as workstations, equipment, etc.). It will maintain the item location with the ability to also assign a user as a custodian. Units with this status are not considered ‘available’; however, they can still be moved or transferred to another location. The Transfer Custody transaction will be updated to support transfer between user custodians. The Check In transaction will be updated to support the check in back to the custodial team and update to the status of available.

Setup options to select Item Master Attributes to be available to display on both the Item Master grid and the Below Minimum Quantity grid views.

Assignment of a Facility to community and system user setup will be added. When an item is checked out to a user, their assigned location will then display in the Checked-Out Units grid view. This feature is being added for additional support for the In Use assignment logic described above.

Imports. Work has continued building our import infrastructure. The next step will be to add a user interface to support importing of specific data. These will include

  • Item Masters
  • Areas
  • Projects
  • Users
  • Serialized Units
  • Quantity-Tracked Units
  • Purchase Orders

New Feature: Mass Update. This new feature will support the ability to update unit attribute assignments on serialized units. The update will apply to multiple units versus having to select each individual unit. This will be restricted to unit attributes and not to status or location.

Purchase Order Enhancements. Adding the ability to set a unit cost to the item master as well as to enter a unit cost on PO order lines. Extended costs will be calculated for the order line and total Purchase Order amount will be calculated. This is being added to support future integration logic.
