This transaction can be defined to support multiple workflow options. The unit status can be updated. Current status options include Hold, Out of Service, Missing, and Available.
The Placed In field option supports the ability to identify an updated area location.
For most organizations using this transaction, attributes can be defined to be captured on the individual unit templates for the update. This is typically an attribute that is not necessarily known when the unit is received or added into the system. For example, a packaging date assignment or warranty start and end dates. Often serialized containers are set up to be able to assign a weight and dimensions at a separate step when the unit can be weighed and measured.
