Symptom:
Barcode read failed. Result: A0000023
Cause:
The error is caused by an application on the handheld named DataWedge.
Solution:
To disable DataWedge, please follow the steps below:
- Open the Start Menu on the handheld
- Select Settings
- Select System
- Select DataWedge
- In the “Running” section, flip the toggle to ‘No’.
If DataWedge is not located there, look in the StartUp folder on the device and it will need to be removed.
To remove:
- Go to Start
- Go to File Explorer
- Go to Windows
- Go to Startup
- Delete DataWedge.
Restart the device.
