Site Transfer Configuration

Site Transfers can be created using the PanatrackerGP

  • Site Transfer transaction
  • Directed Transfer Order Pick (when From Site and To Site are different)
  • Inbound Transfer Receipt
  • Site Group Transfer.

On submit, the GP Transfer Transaction is created.

Site Transfer Settings

Enable Outbound Site Transfer. Enables the Site Transfer transaction. Site Transfer does not provide any specific guidance of what items to select to transfer.

Batch Code for Transfers. The Batch code assignment for the created GP Transfer Transactions.

  • PTGP_TRANSFER is the default
  • If the Batch Code is left empty, the current date is used.
  • Other Batch Code Options

Allow Type Transfer. Enables the type field on the Site Transfer transaction to be able to transfer items between types. For example, transferring items from on-hand to damaged, in service, etc.). When not enabled, the type fields are not displayed.

Capture Shipping Method for Site Transfers. When set to true, the Shipping Method field is enabled. The look-up list and entry options are based on the Shipping Methods setup in Dynamics GP. This information is captured for informational purposes.

Reasons for Transfer. When set to true, the Reason Code field is enabled on Site Transfer transaction. Reason codes for transfers must be set up in Dynamics GP to use this feature.

Transfer Site ID Default. Define a default for the transfer FROM site field on the Site Transfer transaction. The site defined must be a valid site setup in Dynamics GP.

Site Transfer from Site Default

Site Transfer to Site Default. Define a default for the transfer TO site field on the Site Transfer transaction. The site defined must be a valid site setup in Dynamics GP.

Transfer From Site List. Limit the sites the user profile is allowed to transfer from on the Site Transfer transaction. Separate sites with a ‘;’ when adding multiple sites to the list. If empty, all sites are available select.

Transfer To Site List. Limit the sites the user profile is allowed to transfer TO on Site Transfer transaction. Separate sites with a ‘;’ when adding multiple sites to the list. If empty, all sites are available to select.

Site Transfer Default Bin. When using multiple bin tracking setup in GP, setting this option to ‘true’ will default the Site Transfer TO bin as the PO Receiving Bin default for the TO Site. Users may change destination bin as needed. This requires the PO Receiving Bin be set up in GP for your sites.

Allow auto-create for the To Bin on Site Transfer. When using multiple bin tracking setup in GP, setting this to ‘true’ will allow the ability to create a new bin on-the-fly for the Site Transfer TO bin.

Allow Item to be Assigned to Destination Site on Site Transfer. When set to true, if the item is not assigned to the destination TO Site on a Site Transfer, the association to the site will automatically be created.

Outbound Site Transfer To Bin Default. When using multiple bin tracking setup in GP, define the TO bin default option on Site Transfer.

  • None
  • Site Receiving Default: PO Receiving Bin default defined on the Site setup in GP.
  • Item Receiving Default: PO Receiving Bin default defined on the Item-Site setup in GP
  • Available Priority Bin: Priority bins defined for the item on the Item-Site setup in GP under Priority Bins

To Bin Display for Site Transfers. When using multiple bin tracking setup in GP, define the To Bin look up list display.

  • All Bins for Item. This will display bins where the item has current quantities or bins the item has previously been assigned.
  • All Bins for Site. This will display all bins set up for the site regardless of if the item has ever been assigned to the bin or not.
  • Priority Bins for Item. This will restrict the list to only bins set up in GP as priority bins for the item-site. Note: If using this option, the Outbound Site Transfer To Bin Default should be Available Priority Bin. If set to the Site or Item Receiving default, be sure that bin is also defined as a priority bin for all item-sites. Be sure all items have priority bin setup completed in GP to use this option.

Allow Auto-Assign for All Serials in Bin for Site Transfer. When the item to transfer is serial-tracked in GP, supports the ability to automatically select all serials that are available in the From Bin entered without requiring individual scanning of each individual serial number.

Use UOM for Site Transfer. Enables the UOM field to allow a user to select an alternate unit of measure to use for a site transfer. Unit of measure setup must be complete in GP to select an alternate UOM for the transaction. The GP Transfer Transaction is created using the selected UOM and GP will correctly update the quantities to the base unit of measure at posting.

Bulk Item Auto Save At Site Transfer. When set to true, for items tracked by quantity (not serial or lot), changes the mode to scan each individual item and the quantity for the transaction is based on the number of scans. Using UOM for Site Transfers will need to be set to false to use this feature.

Default Quantity 1 for Lots on Site Transfer. This setting was added for a specific customer use-case. When the item is lot-tracked, a quantity of 1 will be set as the default in the quantity to transfer field.

Default Lot Quantity on Receiving Transfer. When using the Inbound Receive Transfer as the second transfer step of a Directed Transfer Order setup with a via site, when set to true, the original quantity transferred for the item-lot entered will default for the receiving quantity.

Transfers Add POSTTOGL Flag. When set to true, the eConnect will add the POSTTOGL node for the Site Transfer and assign the value from the Transfers POSTTOGL Flag Value. The value will be set to 1 to create a corresponding GL entry for the Site Transfer. This is used when there is an account segment defined for site transfers in GP.

Receive Transfer Settings

Enable Receiving Transfer. Enables the Inbound Receive Transfer transaction. This transaction relates to the Android platform and is used to complete the second step of an in-transit transfer order when an order is set up with a ‘via’ site.

Receiving Transfer-To Bin Default. Set an option for the To Bin default for the Receive Transfer transaction as the second transfer step for a Directed Transfer Order using a via site.

  • None.
  • Site Receiving Default: PO Receiving Bin default defined on the Site setup in GP.
  • Item Receiving Default: PO Receiving Bin default defined on the Item-Site setup in GP Available
  • Priority Bin: Priority bins defined for the item on the Item-Site setup in GP under Priority Bins

Receiving Transfer-To Bin Read Only. When set to true, the To Bin will be set as read only. Note that this will require that the Receiving Transfer To Bin Default be set to either the Site or Item Receiving Bin Default.
