Install PanatrackerGP on Android Handheld

Prerequisite: Integrated barcode scanner or a QR scanning application

  1. Navigate to the Device Setup page of the PanatrackerGP portal.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Android for PanatrackerGP” to reveal the QR code.
  3. If you do not have an integrated barcode scanner, open the camera on your android device.
  4. Scan the QR code to initiate the download of the .APK file. For this to work, the handheld device must be on a network that can communicate with the PanatrackerGP portal.
  5. Accept and open the downloaded file if prompted.
  6. The device will now attempt to install the APK.
  7. If the device prompts for permission to install, follow the prompts and change the slider to allow downloads from this source.
  8. Select Install to begin the installation of the PanatrackerGP Android application.
  9. Once complete, select Open to launch PanatrackerGP.
  10. Once open, it will request a Device Name, Portal Address and Path.
  11. For Device Name, enter in what the device will be named (typically it will be named after the location the device is used in with a number, like WHS1 or SR1 for Warehouse 1 and Stock Room 1 respectively).
  12. For Portal Address, enter in what you see on the bottom of the Device Setup page after “To install the software, open the unit’s mobile browser and navigate to:” or rescan the same barcode you used to download the installer.
  13. Leave path Blank.
  14. Hit Ok or Enter
  15. Once the Log In screen appears, refresh the Device Setup page on the PanatrackerGP portal.
  16. The device that was just installed should appear. Select the Edit button near it. In the popup box, select the “Active” checkmark.
  17. The Android application is now installed.
