Site Transfer

This transaction will create a corresponding GP Transfer Entry transaction in GP. The GP transaction must be posted for the On Hand quantities for the items to be updated.

From Site
Default can be set by user profile. Setting option Site Transfer from Site Default

To Site
Can be set as a default with profile setting Site Transfer to Site Default. Otherwise, user will select.
To Site cannot be the same as the From Site unless the transfer is between item types. Setting Option Allow Type Transfers = true

To Bin
Select the destination Bin. The To Bin is selected at the start of the transaction based on the typical usage for the transaction that it the final bin location for each item being transferred is not really known. The To Bin is typically a general Dock bin area.

Item
Select the item to transfer

From Bin (multi-bins)
Select the bin the item is being moved from

UOM
Default in the item base unit of measure.

Quantity
Enter quantity to transfer (quantity tracked items)
When Bulk Item Auto Save At Site Transfer is set to true, as the item is scanned, a quantity of 1 is added to the total quantity to transfer.

If item is LOT tracked, the lot and lot quantity is captured.

If the item is SERIAL tracked, the serials are captured based on the setting Serial Quantity Capture Behavior on Site Transfer

  • Count Scans will display the number of serials scanned.
  • Enter Quantity will allow the enter of the quantity of serials to transfer. Once the serial numbers scanned = the quantity entered, focus will set back to the Item field.

Other Setup Options

  • Ability to enable item label printing.
  • Ability to enable the Item Type field to transfer between types of On Hand, Returned, Damaged, In Service
  • Ability to enable capture of a Shipping Method.
  • Ability to enable capture of a Reason Code. Reason codes must be set up in GP for Site Transfers.
