Setup SMTP for Use with PanatrackerGP

  1. Open Internet Information Services Manager
    1. W+R to open the Run window, then type inetmgr
    2. Alternatively open the Start Menu and search for IIS Manager
  2. Expand the server, in the left column
  3. Expand Sites
  4. Click the PanatrackerGP site
  5. In the main section of the IIS window, double click SMTP email
  6. Enter in the details you would like to use for SMTP
    1. Enter the Email address you would like the messages sent from in the E-mail address field
    2. Enter the SMTP Server address in the SMTP Server field
    3. If you are not using SSL, ensure Port 25 is entered into the port field. If you are using SSL, enter 587 in the port field.
    4. If you use login credentials to authenticate to your SMTP server, you will need to specify credentials in the Authentication setting section.
    5. Click Apply in the right-hand column.
  7. If you are not using SSL, you are finished and should be able to send emails through PanatrackerGP.
  8. If you are using SSL or credentials:
    1. Open the MailSettings.config file located at C:\Program Files(x86)\Panatrack\PanatrackerGP_V7\ *Portal on the server hosting PanatrackerGP located in Notepad*
    2. Immediately following the username=”username” section, add the following: enableSSL=”true”
    3. Save the MailSettings.config file
  9. You should be able to send emails through PanatrackerGP
